Is the Internet Bad for the Environment?

Today on Daily Planet;

physicist from Harvard University stated that as few as two google searches produce CO2 about equal to that of boiling a kettle. A google search produces 7g of carbon dioxide while boiling a kettle produces around 15g.Google officials claim that their CO2 production is grossly overestimated.
